Lyrics
On my early morning stroll,
walking by the nursing home,
I see fire trucks & ambulances speeding
sirens pleading,
and I hope they’ll be OK.
If the top window explodes in flames
and the glass and fire makes diced flambé of me,
should I conclude that walking’s bad for my health?
clear the air
we can’t breathe
like we’re trapped in the shaft
of a deep, dark mine too long
our lungs are black as night
and we need healing
On an early evening call,
telling me about your day,
I hear his low voice. He whispers to you, joking.
I am choking,
but I hope you’ll be OK.
If your topless pose does things for him
that you promised you would only do for me,
should I conclude that love is bad for my health?
clear the air
I can’t breathe
I’ve been trapped in the shaft
of “mine mine mine” too long
my heart is black as night,
and I need healing.
